I/O Module Synchronizes Multiple Controllers
February 02, 2009 – Vancouver, WA – Delta Computer Systems, Inc. announces an SSI I/O module that allows for synchronizing multiple motion controllers to SSI transducers. SSI inputs and SSI outputs are used to retransmit position data between multiple RMC100 Series Motion Controllers.

“Encoders and transducers with SSI signals can provide advantages over quadrature encoders such as absolute position data; however they cannot be directly daisy-chained to multiple controllers.” stated Steve Nylund, Delta’s CEO. “This module allows Delta RMC motion controllers to be used for applications requiring large numbers of axes (of multiple feedback types) to be synchronized to a single SSI axis.” Nylund added.
