A Message from the CEO
One pillar of Delta’s commitment to excellent customer support is short delivery times—10 working days or quicker if expedited. To accomplish this, Delta maintains relatively high stock levels. While this has helped to insulate us from the global supply chain disruptions, we are now dealing with the delays on a daily basis. And sometimes in expensive ways—for example, paying $160 each for parts that would normally be $20 each. Even from our standard suppliers—we are seeing 2022 price increases of 20-30% or more on some components. This has necessitated 2022 price increases for Delta products averaging about 5%. We hope that improvements in the availability of the electronic components will continue, and that price increases will be more modest in the future.
As we head into 2022, we are glad to be able to continue our 10-day delivery times on typical quantity orders. We also have been able to avoid obsoleting any products.
Delta had record sales in 2021, for which I’d like to personally thank all of our customers. And I’d like to convey my wishes for a wonderful Christmas and a fortunate New Year.

RMCTools New Features
RMCTools v. 4.20.0 provides two new features that enhance usability:
- Vertical Plot Zooming
Take plot analysis to a whole new level! Use Ctrl+Shift+Mouse Wheel to zoom vertically, and just the mouse wheel to scroll vertically. Or toolbar buttons if you don’t have a mouse wheel, or keyboard shortcuts if you don’t have a mouse.
- Axis Tools column alignment
The columns in the Axis Status and Axis Parameter panes are now always aligned with each other.

New Position System Enhances Resaw
Smart Gate with RMC150 improves precision and productivity at recent installation.

The Salem Equipment Smart Gate resaw block positioner utilizes closed loop position control with force monitoring to realize a 25% increase in throughput, with greatly reduced wear and tear on the resaw system.

David McNichol - Regional Sales Manager
One of the keys to Delta's ongoing commitment to responsive and knowledgeable customer service is our team of Regional Sales Managers. That is why we are very excited to announce that David McNichol has joined our RSM team, taking over the Eastern Central United States region. Many of our readers are probably familiar with David in his previous position of Applications Engineer, where he had important roles in our Customer Support and Training activities. David joined Delta as an intern while at Washington State University and was hired full time after graduating with his Electrical Engineering degree. David brings a wealth of product knowledge and expertise to his new role, and is looking forward to supporting Delta distributors and users in the eastern Great Lakes region.

Tech Tip
Multi-cylinder Scale & Offset Wizard
Here is a useful feature in RMCTools that can determine the total force on the end of a multiple cylinder system configuration.
To use the multi-cylinder scale and offset wizard:
Define the axis (or axes) and configure for dual input differential force control, and open the force scale/offset wizard. Select the "Multiple Cylinders" option.
Set the pressure transducer parameters appropriately. 
Enter the number of cylinders, and the dimensions of each cylinder.
RMCTools will then calculate the force scale and offset.
